Sometimes we take the basics elements of our profession for granted. We practice our skills so regularly that our behaviors and practices become second nature and automatic. Yet, much like the new instructor, Subject Matter Expert (SME) teaching for the first time, a seasoned facilitator can overlook our most basic of tools in our arsenal. After much discussion within our network of learning professionals, here are "Five forgotten tips for employee training..."
Five forgotten tips for employee training;
1. Be prepared and ready to go
2. Think slow and remember to breathe
3. Be patient, you were new once, too
4. Act as if everything was planned and on purpose, even if it was not
5. Learn to recognize success, and encourage opportunity
These tips can be used by ANYONE within a formal or informal training session that provides instruction or skill transfer. So, keep these five forgotten tips in your trainer toolbox and watch the impact they will have on your training.
